Next time you clean out your garage be careful. BELLEVUE, Wash. (KOMO) — Police in #Washington state said they received a "rather unusual" call Wednesday reporting that a #military-grade-rocket was in the garage of a #Bellevue residence.

The BPD the man informed the museum that his neighbour had acquired the thing from an estate sale. With access to the reported #Missile, bomb squad members examined the object and learned it was a #Douglas-AIR-2-Genie (previous designation MB-1)

With access to the reported #Missile, bomb squad members inspected the object and learned it was a #Douglas-AIR-2-Genie (previous designation MB-1), an unguided air-to-air rocket that designed to carry a 1.5 kt W25 #nuclearwarhead," the BPD said, adding there was no #warhead attached.

Officers determined the object was inert and contained no rocket fuel, meaning the item was an artefact with no explosive hazard.

Conclusion

"Because the item was inactive and the military did not demand it back, police left it with the neighbour for display in a local museum.
